Frequently asked questions
Fill out a booking form that can be accessed in my 'booking' tab! This form collects all neccesary information in order for me to best prepare for your appointment.
From there, allow 1-5 days for a response. I will contact you as quickly as I can! I will reach out to you through instagram messages, text, or via email to confirm details and provide next steps. Please be sure to check your messages and spam folders!
To secure your spot, a deposit is required. Deposit prices vary from $30-$60 depending on the tattoo. Deposits are deducted from the final price of your tattoo at the day of appointment, and can be sent through Venmo (@eternalgoddesstattoo) or Zelle (eternalgoddesstattoo@gmail.com).
Add your appointment time/date to your calendar! I will reach out to you 1-2 days prior to your appointment to confirm.
I prefer to charge per piece or per session for larger projects. I price each piece based on complexity of design, size, and placement.
I will always work within your budget (provided to me via booking form). If a design needs to be altered in order to fit your budget, I will communicate accordingly!
My minimum is $100. This means that no matter how quick, small, or simple a tattoo may be, the lowest I will charge is $100! This covers time and set up, materials, business costs, and labor.
If you need a quote, please contact me! I want you to feel prepared financially for your appointment.
Yes, please! If you need guidance, input, or help with your tattoo concept, please contact me to schedule coming into the studio for a consultation.
I do not charge for consultations, they typically take me about 15-30 minutes.
Consultations are necessary before setting an appointment for any cover-ups, unless I specify otherwise! This helps me to plan accordingly and decipher if the cover-up is within my capabilities or not. If a tattoo is not something I feel that I can cover, I will happily recommend you to other trusted artists I consider a better fit or will recommend laser treatment before I approach the project.
Consultations are also recommended for any very large or complex projects.
Please come prepared for your consultation with any ideas you may have. Reference photos are always welcome and can be helpful to me.
During your consultation, I may take measurements and photos of the area that is to be tattooed. I may also roughly sketch on your skin with marker.
Please bring your ID! Must be a current and valid state ID, Driver's License, or Passport. Your ID can not be expired, and I can not tattoo you without your ID. In the state of Illinois, you must be 18+ to get tattooed. NO EXCEPTIONS.
You may also bring snacks, water, headphones to listen to music, or a book!
Wear layers and/or comfortable clothing that makes the area to be tattooed easily accessible.
Please make sure you have eaten prior to your appointment and are well rested and hydrated.
Please avoid consuming an excessive amount of caffeine prior to your appointment.
Please do not arrive to your appointment under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. If you are not sober, I can not tattoo you.
I am happy to accomodate you as much as I can! Things happen. I will always respect your time, please respect mine as well.
If you need to reschedule, your deposit will be transferred over to your new appointment date.
I will hold on to your deposit for up to two times of rescheduling your appointment. For a third time rescheduling, a new deposit will need to be made to secure your spot.
At least 48 hours of notice is required to reschedule or cancel an appointment. The more time in advance to let me know, the better!
If you do not show up to your appointment and do not notify me beforehand, I will not book with you in the future.
I will always speak more in depth with you about what I recommend in person if you have any additional questions or if this is your first tattoo. I typically recommend simple aftercare steps. A fresh tattoo is a wound, please treat it as such!
Keep your tattoo clean by washing 2 times a day during the healing process with fragrance free, antibacterial soap. I usually recommend Dial brand, and keep some at my studio for you to purchase if needed.
Do not exfoliate the skin or use any washcloths while cleaning your tattoo.
Do not itch, scratch, or pick at your tattoo.
Moisturize your tattoo lightly as needed after a few days post tattoo. Not too much, and not too little so that the skin does not become too dry. I recommend using A & D ointment that I give to you to take home after your appointment. Or, you may use any lotion that does not contain perfumes or alcohol.
Keep your fresh tattoo out of the sun while healing.
Do not submerge yourself under water (pools, baths, hot tubs, etc) while healing. Avoid any watery surfaces where you can catch an infection. Shower as normal.
If you have more questions during your healing process, please contact me!
Please keep in mind that your health and safety is my top priority! Because of this, I do not recommend everyone and anyone to get tattooed.
If you have medical conditions such as hemophilia, compromised immune system, skin issues, or diabetes, please consult with your doctor prior to booking an appointment with me! Unfortunately, these conditions may sometimes create complications during the healing process.
If you have had any surgical procedures done within the last year, please consult with your doctor prior to booking an appointment with me.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, I can not tattoo you. Tattooing during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not recommended due to higher risk of infection and hormonal changes that can affect the healing process.
If you are allergic to inks or metals in tattoo needles, please proceed with caution to avoid possible allergic reactions.
If you are a minor, I can not tattoo you. You must be 18 years of age or older in order to be tattooed in the state of Illinois.
If you are currently sick, please contact me to reschedule your appointment!
If you are under the influence of any drugs or alcohol, I can not tattoo you.
No. I am happy to recieve reference photos of pre-existing tattoos done by another artist to get a better understanding of what you are looking for when it comes to shading style, subject matter, etc. However, please note that I will never tattoo a design made by another artist. Tattooing a design created by another artist is stealing, and is disrespectful both to them and myself. I am happy to offer you a design that is done in my own style.
I want you to have a tattoo this is completely unique to you.
Yes! I always love tattooing my own flash designs, but I also love creating custom designs as well. I always recommend that you look over my work on Instagram prior to booking an appointment with me to decipher if my tattoo style aligns with what you are looking for. If you have an idea that may differ from what you see in my work, I am happy to consult with you to decide if I am the right fit for you. If I or we decide that I am not the right fit for your idea, I am happy to refer you to other trusted artists who may be better fit!
I am always happy to do custom work and want us both to feel 100% satisfied by and happy with your tattoo! However, here are some examples of projects that I love most to take on and moving forward, would love to take on more often.
Ornamental designs (I especially love tattooing larger symmetrical pieces, bold black work pieces, or filigree)
Anything medieval/renaissance (Swords, weapons, torches, chains, castles, etc.)
Botanical (Floral pieces, vines, thorns, fruits, leaves, etc.)
Insects, bones, and animals.
Gothic architecture (Windows, doors, etc.)
Catholic iconography (Sacred hearts, candles, chalices, crosses, etc.)
Mythological creatures (Any beings from folklore/legends)
